Purpose and budget of Tartu Film Fund
The aim of the grant is to promote the development of the audiovisual sector in the city of Tartu and in South – Estonia by supporting the production and post-production of professional audiovisual works in the region.
The budget of the Tartu Film Fund is 150,000 euros a year.
Who can apply?
The applicant for the grant may be a professional film production company registered in Estonia.
What types of projects we support?
Support may be requested for the production of the following professional audiovisual works:
- full-length feature film or documentary (including documentary TV series) or animation;
- short feature film, documentary or animation;
- quality series with a length of at least 4 episodes.
Eligible costs and support rate
Tartu Film Fund offers reimbursement of 30% of the costs incurred during the production or postproduction of films in Tartu city or South-Estonia (Jõgeva, Tartu, Valga, Võru and Põlva county).
2023 application rounds
In 2023, the second application round for shorts and documentaries only, will be launched in October.
